Please Note : You must be an International member of HOG to join the Local Chapter. The same goes for Associate status.
If you are interested in becoming a member there are a few things you need to do -
- Own a Harley Davidson Motorcycle
- Hold International HOG Membership
- Become a Provisional member of the Brisbane Chapter
- Attend a compulsory introduction/orientation ride, New members meet at the Morgan and Wacker briefing room above the work shop the Saturday before the monthly ride at 12:00pm. This assists by familiarising new members with the ride rules of the Brisbane Harley Owners Group.
New member information:
- All 'Provisional' members meet at the Morgan & Wacker briefing room above the work shop the Saturday before the Monthly Ride at 12:00pm for the complusory provisional monthly Orientation Brief & Ride. Ride Safety, group riding techniques and corner marking are discussed before a short practice ride and a social stop for a coffee or cold drink.
- Provisional members will receive complementary copies of the Club's newsletter - HOGWASH, for 3 months.
- You will need to complete the provisional riders briefing and ride, plus a minimum of 2 club monthly rides and attend 1 club meeting before you can join Brisbane HOG as a full member.
- To help new members become familiar with our group riding and corner marking rules, Brisbane HOG has a 'Provisional' riders group on all of our official monthly rides. This group is led by an experienced club member who wears a yellow/green safety vest.
- You must ride in the Provisional Group for your first 3 official monthly rides (ie: your two qualifying rides and the first one as a full member).
- The 'Provisional' members monthly ride registration fee is $5.00. Make sure you register well before the start of the ride. If you have not yet submitted your Provisional membership application, you will also need to complete and sign an indemnity form as a visitor.
- You will need to bring the Orange card that is part of your Brisbane HOG membership pack to monthly rides and meetings and it must be signed by a Committee member at the ride's goodbye stop and the meeting's end.
- You should bring your white membership application form on your last ride or meeting for signing. It must be signed by 2 Full members of Brisbane HOG (other than a Committee Member) who will support your application for full membership.
- Your membership booklet provides you with important information about the Brisbane Harley Owners Group and details all the requirements of becoming either a Full or Associate member - Please Read it !
Membership Costs :
- Full Member $70.00 (First Year only)
- Associate Member $20.00
- As part of the Full Membership induction pack you will receive:
- Brisbane Harley Owners Group membership card
- Club rocker/patch
- Club pin
- BrisHOG Year pin
- Name tag
- Access to the Members Area of our website
- Associate Members will receive a membership card and year pin. (Year pins are subject to availability)
